INTERNET OF BINS project is divided into five (5) Work Packages:
Work Package 1: Project Management and Coordination
Includes the actions of each partner regarding the administration and management of the project. More specifically, horizontal actions are included regarding the written documentation of the progress of the physical and financial activities.
Work Package 2: Communication and Dissemination
Includes actions related to publicity, communication and promotion of the Project. In the context of the implementation of WP2, each partner undertakes the implementation of corresponding actions.
Work Package 3: Improvement of the Cross border MSWM Capacity
WP-3 includes the most important actions of the project concerning the strengthening of cross-border capacity in the field of waste management, while at the same time it is inextricably linked to the implementation of WP-4 as it is a source of information. Specifically, it includes the implementation of a series of procurement of equipment related to waste management as well as corresponding thematic studies.
Work Package 4: Set up of a Smart Joint Waste Monitoring System/Network – Pilot Projects
The specific P.E. includes a series of actions between the partners in the direction of smart waste management combining the use of ICT tools and the elaboration of specialized thematic studies, in order to implement pilot projects of smart specialization.
Work Package 5: Transfer, exchange of knowledge and Sustainability of Results
W.P.-5 aims to develop a cross-border “Smart ICT hub” in the field of solid waste management with the aim of exchanging information and know-how between the partners both from the joint data transmission of the telematic monitoring equipment that will be installed, as well as by organizing thematic technical workshops. Among others, the general purpose of this specific W.P. also concerns the ensuring the sustainability of the results and outputs of the INTERNET OF BINS project. Thus, the elaboration of relevant studies are foreseen, as well as the examination of the participation of the partners in thematic cooperative EU networks and aboard.
